On July 16th my niece Jera turned one and on the 20th we celebrated with family and a few friend. The party was at my parents' house. We cooked out hamburgers, hot dogs and sausages and swam in the pool all day. The food was great! Jera had her own little smash cake shaped like a dog. We had cake an vanilla ice cream. She received all kinds of great presents from everyone like dresses, puzzles, an activity table, sunglasses and educational toys. Everyone got along wonderfully and no nearly-drowned like the family party. Little Ira had to be rescued by his Uncle Albert at Lexie's birthday party. Ira was scared but fine. Whew. We watched the kids all the kids very carefully this time.
Jera was awake and happy the whole time. Alistair had fun with Dan in the pool. He also had fun chasing Rob (my brother's friend) around the house. Speaking of Rob, we found out that day that he and Sue are getting married in March. Way to go Rob! Sue is a great woman. She teaches Special Ed (Sorry. I don't know the PC word for that). We also found out that Stan (Jason's other friend) and his girlfriend will be having a baby next year! This was definitely a good party. Especially because I didn't have to plan anything!
